After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in August, numerous members of the Afghan service fled the country. Belal Khohestani, former Afghan airman of Afghanistan’s elite military unit, is one of them. He has now dislocated to Chicago, the US where he has plant a place to live. As per the reports of CNN, he stated that he’s conforming to life in a new country, admitting that everyone who would authentically make America home for him, his woman and four children, his two sisters and his mama all are thousands of kilometres down, locked in his native Kabul. He said that he’s starting from scrape to construct his life in the US.
Inmid-August, Belal and other Special Mission Wing aviators flew across the border to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in a hopeless attempt to help some of the Afghan service’s most advanced artillery from falling into Taliban hands and establishing their own air force. During the escape, several people departed the country without their families and they’ve been staying to see their family since also.
Khohestani prompted his family to meet him outside Kabul International Airport in late August as the US and its abettors vacated thousands of Afghans. Still, the self-murder explosion on August 26, which killed 13 US soldiers crushed Khohestani’s expedients of his family escaping the country. He stated that he’s shamed that he abandoned his family, according to CNN. Despite the Taliban’s assurances of remittal, Khohestani is concerned about retribution against his family.
There are still numerous people in Afghanistan who still want to flee the country. Last Monday, State Department press clerk Ned Price stated that the United States is continuing its bid to void at- threat Afghans, as well as American residers and green card holders, according to CNN. He also stated that they’ve also continued to do everything they can to support Afghans to whom they’ve a specific obligation, including those who fall under the order of the Special Emigrant Visas.
Price further said that they’re looking at druthers to processing for the larger cohort. He claims that while their presence on the ground in Afghanistan is no longer there, they’re doing what they can from other posts and looking at results to continue their sweats to safely dislocate those individualities who wish to leave the country.
