The grouping of quad four US, India, Japan and Australia played an important role in promoting “free and open” Indo-Pacific, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said here on Friday, urged the same-minded countries to increase their investment in the region Vital strategic, in the midst of China’s increasing firmness.
Kishida arrived in Singapore on Friday to deliver the main speech at the Asian Main Defense Konklave, the Shangri-La dialogue.
He said the leaders of the Quad Security Dialogue or rectangular in their recent meeting in Tokyo in May promised to spend more than USD 50 billion for infrastructure and investment assistance in Indo-Pacific for the next five years which would be important to promote prosperity in the territory.

Joint statement by four leaders said that IPMDA will support and work by consulting with Indo-Pacific countries and regional information fusion centers in the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands by providing technology and training to support awareness of joint maritime domains to promote stability and prosperity.
Leaders reiterate their commitment to Indo-Pacific who are free and open and vow to work “without tireless to provide tangible results” for the region.
The Japanese Prime Minister in his speech, especially talking about ‘Kishida’s vision for peace’ to strengthen Japanese diplomacy and security.
He promised to increase defense expenditure over the next five years after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and Chinese posture in the region.
India, the US and several other world forces have talked about the need to ensure that Indo-Pacific is free, open, and developed in the background of Chinese military maneuvers that increase in areas rich in resources.
China claims that almost all of the disputed South China Sea, although Taiwan, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam all claim their parts.
