Pakistan calls for release of Afghanistan’s reserves
Peshawar (Pajhwok): Pakistan has renewed support for peaceful and stable Afghanistan contributing to regional progress and connectivity.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the global brotherhood to focus on sustainable humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
At a joint press conference with his colleagues in Germany in Islamabad on Tuesday, he asked the Taliban government to measure the hopes of the international community about human rights, including women’s rights.
Bilawal Zardari called for the international community to be actively involved with the Afghan government to resolve the humanitarian crisis, in a country hit by war.
The release of foreign reserves of Afghanistan will help capture free fall from their economy, believes the young Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Pakistan has bear the burden of terrorism and extremism in Afghanistan, he said, emphasized the need to bring peace to the country.
Visiting Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said he had discussed with the situation in Afghanistan.
He promised to continue to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan. He asked all countries to support the Afghan education and health sector.
The Taliban government headed towards the wrong direction, he said, said they would not leave the people of Afghanistan.
