James Cleverly Appointed New UK Foreign Secretary
The new British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has appointed James Cleverly as Foreign Minister, his office said in a statement on Tuesday.
Cleverly has served as Secretary of Education since July, when Boris Johnson announced that he would resign and appoint the guard government until a new leader was appointed.
Cleverly, 53, has increased rapidly through a conservative ranking since he was first elected as a member of parliament for the British city of Braintree in 2015.
He also served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Minister of Junior, often providing parliamentary reforms on British support for Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
