Rumors of the coup to Chinese President Xi Jinping who gripped the internet throughout Saturday were placed to rest after Sleuthing Cyber and analysis by Open Source intelligence analysts. The verdict is that the Chinese troop movement, what is called an explosion or cancellation of flight is incorrect.
Everything began when Jennifer Zeng’s “freelance journalist” strengthened in English, rumors circulating on Chinese Twitter since September 21. Immediately a story claims that the former president and PM have persuaded Song Ping, a former committee member stood up, to control the central guard bureau that night while Xi was detained at the airport upon the Samarkand Summit on September 16.
There are details that suggest something that is scary happening. Fake graphics are made to show that flights have been canceled in China; A big explosion video shows a fierce battle in Beijing and another short video shows the movement of troops, which are claimed to be led to Zhongnanhai, headquarters of the Chinese Communist Party Committee.
Open source intelligence analyst quickly stabbed this claim. The visual explosion was traced to what happened in Tianjin in 2015. The flight tracking website, one of which was briefly taken by fake graphics, showed that everything was normal in the sky above China. Video of the troop movements found unrelated.
Open Source intelligence analyst found that a number of accounts with very low followers and no one was connected to the handle of authentic media and some strange from Africa, acting as the main spreaders of rumors. Considering the tension with China, some of the right wing Twitter grip from India is too deleted to many coup claims. In the end, it was very non -existent.
