Russia, China unveil first highway bridge. Here are 5 things you must know
Russia and China have launched the first road bridge between the two countries, signifying the strengthening bonds between the two countries in the middle of the Moscow War in Ukraine, AFP reported. This happened a month after the construction of the Russian section from the first railroad bridge across the Amur River was completed, Ani quoted Chinese media reports. The China-Russian rail bridge connects the city of Tongjiang in the northeast province of the country Heilongjiang and Russian city Nizhneleninskoye, according to the Xinhua news agency.

The bridge construction was completed two years ago but the inauguration was postponed due to Pandemi Covid-19.
The bridge was opened for goods with a ceremony at Blagoveshchensk, with the first truck hallway that was welcomed by fireworks.
From the China side, eight trucks consisting of car tires and electrical equipment components departed for Russia, the Russian Today website reported.
